I've wanted to start a blog for some time but was stuck at the very beginning. What to write!? It's easy to get caught up in trying to be original or funny, touching or informative. Should I document fashion trends? Post various photos? Satirize U.S. politics? My search continued until recently...the first Tuesday. A close someone and I found ourselves with a completely free day. We'd planned coffee with computers, a trip to the mall, a meal here and there, a Monty Python movie, and some hot toddies. We're fun as hell! Anyway...from this day, Tuesdays with Jonny arose.

Enjoy!

3/15/11- A day to brainstorm

This is what my mind looked like today.  So many ideas spinning.  Items to clear out and items to bring to the front.  What would your sculpture look like if you could clear out your thoughts?

Text #1:  "ch ch ch changes"

Jess, do you always st st st stutter while you sk sk sk sketch?  I do like the font though.  Very sparkly.  Some would call it...glitter!

Text #2:  "Dino tail!"

Erin's house appears to have gone from Twilight Zone to archeological dig.  Oh, the power of imagination!

Text #3:  "So they've removed the PIANO from the "music office" in lieu of trying to see how many full size desks they can cram in our tiny windowless hell hole."

This, my friends, used to be my very own, personal hell hole.  And I scored us the aforementioned piano!  I love what you guys have done with the place!

Text #4:  "Estimate for the Mormon lottery??  200 people.  Luckily, I already have tickets to see it again!  We have 6 of us here trying to win for one friend!  Verdict to come at 6pm!"

Well, it's after 6pm and we wait with baited breath as Kelly spends yet another Tuesday discovering Mormonism as set to snappy tunes.

Text #5:  "I have made some great "friends" the past couple of weeks.  This was part of their photo shoot before their first show together on Sunday!"

I wouldn't want to run into that tough looking bunch in a back alley on the set of everyone's favorite TV show as a kid.  Their faces say "ABC", but their body language says "can of whoop ass!".

Text #6:  "Evidently Dad wouldn't listen to Mom's "step on the break" suggestion...."

Addie, we're men.  We're hunters!  We're gatherers!  We're...fairly stupid... a lot of the time!

Text #7:  "I'm still working on having cafe con soy leche added to the menu but the cheeseburger on the cuban toast is what made my Tuesday in Tampa bearable"

Why is a cafe named for American Independence selling "the best Cuban Coffee in town"?  I do like the con soy leche angle though!

Text #8:  "A bloomin' Tuesday"

Huh!?  Leslie, I always love your contributions.  Always!!  I'm not quite sure what this is, but it's about to go along with my my theme for the week!

Final Thoughts

As far as I can tell it's time for some spring cleaning.  We Floridians have enjoyed year round sun and surf, but our Northern neighbors are finally coming out of a deep freeze.  If your brain looks like my mind did today, take a moment...some mental health time.... and clear out those damn cobwebs.  Get some stuff in order.  Brainstorm and figure out if you're doing what best serves YOU!

Till next time...

Jonny

I can actually see backing out of the driveway now (for about a week) and there are only a few mounds of snow left from having the roof shoveled...life is good!!!
